How to Activate an Xbox Game Pass Global Key
Before redeeming the code, confirm that the Microsoft account country or region is supported by the exact Global key. “Global” does not mean unrestricted activation in every country.
Redeem the Code Online
- Open redeem.microsoft.com.
- Sign in to the Microsoft account that should receive the subscription.
- Enter or paste the code from the order email.
- Select Next.
- Review the Game Pass plan and duration displayed by Microsoft.
- Confirm the redemption only if the result is correct.
If Game Pass Is Already Active
A code for a different tier may be converted according to Microsoft’s current subscription rules. The number of months applied can therefore differ from the duration printed in the product name. The on-screen redemption preview is the relevant result for that account.
Do not confirm an unexpected conversion. Check the active membership in the Microsoft account’s Services & subscriptions section first.
If the Code Is Not Accepted
- Check every character and remove spaces copied before or after the code.
- Make sure you are signed in to the intended Microsoft account.
- Compare the account country or region with the product’s supported activation area.
- Check whether the account has reached Microsoft’s current prepaid-time limit.
- Review the order history and Services & subscriptions page in case the code was already applied.
- Keep the exact Microsoft error message when contacting support.
Do not use a VPN or temporary region change as a workaround. Keep the code confidential and redeem it only through Microsoft’s official service.
